Near the top of Vancouver Island and overlooking the dramatic Inside Passage, Blackfish Sound is our front yard and home of killer whales (orca) as well as an excellent fishing ground. Our isolated fly-in resort is ideally situated on 50 privately-owned acres on beautiful Berry Island, part of the Broughton Archipelago Marine Park, British Columbia's largest marine preserve.

For those wanting to learn the basics of fly-fishing, we offer a comprehensive four hour clinic with qualified instructors. You will learn about the gear, the knots, casting techniques and fly presentations. We will provide all the tackle required and it is of top quality. The knowledge you gain will allow you to comfortably fish for any of the species described below.

Our fishing season runs from early June to late September as we target all five species of salmon, halibut and other bottom fish. All our trips are fully guided with safe, comfortable boats and top-notch gear. Our most popular packages are 3 or 4 night stays offered weekly, but we are happy to cater to your schedule and can customize any request. We fish with two guests and a guide to each boat and we provide all fishing tackle, necessary bait and lures. Our fishing rods are custom made and we use Trophy Tyee mooching reels. We are confident you'll have a great fishing experience whatever dates you pick.
