FishingFive species of Pacific Salmon and amazing location make for great fishing!
Our front door literally gives way to the famed Broughton Archipelago. These waters are famous not only for their natural beauty but also as a destination for some of the best fishing on the BC coast.
Our fishing season kicks off in early June in the lower reaches of Knight Inlet, Baronet Passage, Blackfish Sound and Johnstone Strait and we continue to fish right through to the end of August.
Your 3 or 4 night west coast fishing adventure begins with a scenic flight from Vancouver, B.C. and or Campbell River, BC to Farewell Harbour where you will be warmly greeted by our staff. Our local waters provide both novice and seasoned fisherman the likelihood of a successful catch.
Here we fish for the migrating runs of all five species of Pacific Salmon with our focus mainly on catching the larger Chinook, but we also hook plenty of Coho, Sockeye, Pink and Chum Salmon. Our central location also provides excellent opportunities to bottom fish for Halibut, Ling Cod and Rock Fish. The location of fishing grounds also provides our anglers the occasional photographic opportunity. You’ll want your camera close by for snapshots of surfacing Orcas next to the boat or a Humpback whale breaching the icy water. Maybe a diving Bald Eagle snagging his next meal, the playful seals and porpoises, or a curious bear on the water’s edge.
Our programs can easily be tailored to either the avid, hard core fisherman or to couples or families who are interested in not only wetting a line but who also may be interested in experiencing other aspects to a west coast adventure such as whale watching, bear viewing, sea kayaking or hiking.
Our fishing programs run from early June to the end of August.
